Carpet Pattern
Is there a proper term to describe this striped "ballfield mowed" pattern on carpet and mats? Was it an option?

No, that is not an option, its simply done by vacuuming the carpet in two directions, done by the detailer, I done this myself in many of my vehicles, and even with house carpets.
