@molphar ,
Very cool upgrade !
I knew my video would be of use one day 🤣.
Please share how you did this, what part is the black box, and what is meant by using "parts with larger radiators" ?
Johnny
Yeah, I used it on purpose )) I'll post sheme a bit later!
Sorry not me not my friend got software to make it nice looking. Actually mine was mostly idea, and wokr by my friend)
This is testing look, so-called "alpha" version
on the photo on lateral side of that black box You can see white ceramic coat of resistors, and the turn signal lamps is 23 watt, so it is not that easy to raddiate it somehow to keep everything cool)
ill try to use some from ali with copper radiator around resistor. But stiil, i've gor my supersports lights now ) and in my country we have to use yellow turn signals, so this experiment is ok for USA )
I'll try to find some cheap harness and can do a few modules on ebay. not for profit, just for parts.
Update, problem is that tail light contoll module is too clever.
Thank you !!
I will definitely be doing your upgrade.
Johnny
Glad to help, but be aware of overheating, it is not yet tested as good as needed. I'm going to buy thermalvisor for other purpposes and will test this device in a few weeks

@molphar ,
Thank you, if you do figure it out, let me know please, I would definitely pay you for a plug and play setup.
You might try a constant current LED driver instead of a resistor to help with the heat.
I use resistor to emulate consuption of that small lamp in turn signal. Aim was to do "plug and play" device on original module nad original wire, so it could be restored to original in 1min. It is ppissible to solve problem changing sheme of light module, but, it is not what i want.
This is kind of crude thinking, but, not the look you are going for, if you leave the original turn signal bulb in place and tap into it's power wires, does your setup work without any resistors, if so, leave it in place, or maybe just relocate the turn signal bulb elsewhere, and block the hole in the tail light so no light bleed.
I know... 🤢

I thought about this. but then i need to damage wires, i wanted to keep them virgin.
But still, resostors radiate same amout of heat as a light bulb, so.....no difference. in a few days i'll recive my thermalvisor, and make test for 10 min and we will see temperature on resistors, and i ordered new one with copper coat
@Johnny Hotspur GT I found how to fix heat problem. But i need to do little change in controll module, so, if you have brocken units i can make it for you. Or if ill find wrecked units ill present you pair)
@Johnny Hotspur GT look at this emberesing dissapointing result. Yes, i understand that actual temp in this way is lower, couse resistors radiate infrared, but even if it is half lower, it is still not good. Becouse you can't stay on signals more then 5 mins. ****. But. I have method to fix it, and i will, but it need block modification, as i allready was told, so if i find, i''l send you prototypes )
This is final version. The only warning, not to keep alarm ot turn signal for longer then 10 minutes. and that all. So, if somebodyl wants it, tell me here plz.
