How rude ^^^ .
I can wriggle my hands in behind the front lights ( after removing the air duct and loosening the large pipe to the MAF / throttle body ) to change a light bulb .
What does that make me ? Considering I did not remove the fender / bumper .

One of the ideas of a forum is to share fixes , common fixes and experiences .Said “share” not dictate .

I put 2 1/2 L through .Book says 0.87 L as the quantity so well flushed .
Very dark came out ( a lot of alpine descents ) and pretty clear went in .
The electronic moisture tester was under 1 % a yellow LED so as mentioned no symptoms.I thought it’s just time to flush it with new .

A very easy hassle free procedure with a EZY bleed kit .No rabbit holes or gotchas .
I put the post up enquiring if there was anything special to the GT or gotchas to fall into . There isn’t it’s std VAG brake architecture.

Rude? Yes, absolutely!

The fact that you choose to conflate bleeding the braking system with changing a headlamp bulb indicates how little you appreciate the difference between a simple access issue, and the intentional interference with a safety critical complex electro-mechanical system.

I have no idea why Bentley, as the Design Authority for the Continental GT, chose to specify a complex procedure for bleeding the brakes – but I must assume that they had good reason.

You on the other hand seem not to care one iota for their process; have ignored it, and instead, used the (admittedly well tried) generic process that is used on other cars.

Simply claiming that “it’s std VAG brake architecture” holds no water: you have no idea whether there is some complex nuance of the Bentley implementation that requires a specific procedure.

You’re simply guessing, and it is that with which I take issue: some well meaning individual may happen upon your post, take it as gospel, and do untold damage to themselves or others.

It is arrogant and reckless behaviour such as yours that resulted in kit car builders suffering the SVA/IVA test, and is likely to provide evidence for HM Government’s new anti-tamper laws.

As an engineer with almost four decades of experience in design of safety critical and safety-related systems, I get extremely nervous when I read posts like yours which show blatant disregard for doing things in accordance with the maker’s procedure.

Whilst it does undoubtedly offer massive benefits to the world, one of the perils of the Internet is that it provides a platform whereby well-meaning amateurs like yourself can share their ideas with the world, without any checks or balances, and I reserve the right to challenge it.
