Infotainment screen Radio, camera, Bentley continental not working

Good afternoon everyone, pls advise, I have Bently continental 2015 and only 30000 km for now , my radio started to slow down, camera started to switch on late, then all with time stopped to work, only I can see flashback of bentley emblem on the screen going and coming, tried to do restart (which I found on Internet, it helped for little, then nothing working)...
I'll try to attach video to show how it works now ( nothing working only bentley emblem)

That is not a super common issue but it does happen. I had the same issue with my 2015 GT Speed. The dealer won't perform a software update to fix it, I even talked with Bentley North America about it. They tell you to buy a new infotainment unit. Pull the unit, get the software specific number off the back and look for a used unit or pony up the money for a new one sadly. If you have the NAIM radio option and go for the used unit route, make sure to check first that the replacement unit has the correct software version AND has the NAIM software installed. I know from experience that just having the correct software version isn't enough.

I was made aware of this replacement headunit last week.

So happy. Have one on order.

Stock headunit is such a POS and not worthy of the rest of the car.

I'm actually a fan of the tactile buttons, and like to avoid too many controls on touchscreens.

that said, the mozart unit looks great. Has anybody done it - and does it fix the reboot problem?

I had the reboot problem when I first got my new to me 2015 Flyring spur. It sat on a ship for 2 wks getting ship to me.

What I found out - is that after charging the battery, the issue largely went away - however, it persisted a bit when I left the car unlocked. So now, I lock the car and its never occured again. This suggests a battery issue I'm sure...

Well, it turns out the issue still is occuring. It's truly random - and so maddening. @intensifi how did the mozart unit installation go? Are all OEM functions supported?

It is a know issue with VW head units - you need a professional service to repair it. I brought mine to a specialist familiar with VW units, they are the same. Some people buy a “Tesla” HUDs instead, in case you do not want to keep the original.

I have ordered a replacement "tesla style" screen - however, what I've noticed is that issue is almost certainly related to a bad capacitor. As long as the car is COLD - and has been sitting, theres a 95% chance the screen will work fine. However, once to turn th car off, go inside a store and come back out...100% the screen will NOT work. I'm going to bench test it once I have it out and see if I can identify some an overheating area. does anybody else with this issue note any similar behavior?

Not in this particular context but I've replaced bad caps in so many 10...20+ year old electronic and AV devices that I've lost count, so I'm inclined to concur with your assumption. I highly recommend a good thermal imaging device for troubleshooting anything temperature-related in electronics. I've had a FLIR E8 for this for quite a few years and it's proven to be worth its weight in gold.

@ttpopo did you ever sort your original infotainment unit? I'm having the same issue with my 2015. I thought at first that it happened more often when it heat-soaked, but now it appears to be entirely random (and will do so sometimes even when stone-cold).

I've already replaced the main battery just to make sure, and I've scanned it with VCDS and it shows no fault codes.
