I know I have seen my fair share of threads on this so I figured i'd throw it out there for anyone interested. I believe I found someone who recreates the OEM Continental GT/GTC/FS front bumper covers. At first, I ignored them but as I have been searching I realized that some stores are reselling these for $1600+ w/ $500 shipping. So I think I am gonna take a risk and order one of these bumpers. Still waiting on a quote for shipping but selling for $300.Yes, I realize I could burning money here but my first experience with Alibaba went pretty well figured ill try it again. Happy to share my experience with all here. The OEM new is from Scuderia is $3300 +$1000 to ship it.

There is also a place selling newer steering wheels for the older Gen Bentleys. In case anyone is interested. Not sure I am gonna pull the trigger on that one just yet.

I just wanted to be sure that you realize that the front bumper you posted is for a Flying Spur, not a GT, there is a difference.

It was advertised as a Flying Spur but from what I am seeing it looks like it should still fit. Seems like with any aftermarket I am gonna expect some fitment issues regardless. Figured if I can get it total less than $500 its work the risk and hopefully the community could benefit. Do you see any major concerns about fitment? I was looking at the Meduza SS front bumper but that requires grinding down the front crash bar and I hear mixed reviews about the quality of the parts. Where did you end up getting your new front end from? How was the quality?

 

Check the part numbers on scuderia or flying spares for the spur vs gt front bumpers. If they are different, you will likely have fitment issues trying to put an FS bumper on a gt.
That said, this has been brought up in the past to no definitive conclusion.

 

May not matter, the cost of shipping is pretty high. I would have to buy a large order to justify it.

 

I admit that new style Bentley Steering wheel is pretty tempting. Problem is I have a beige interior and I'm sure it'll never match exactly. Pretty crazy what the Chinese are doing.. really opening up a lot of possibilities for playing with older cars

 

Maybe a group buy is in order for the steering wheels, if they are legitimate, to help bring down the shipping burden. I suspect many gen 1 owners will be interested, particularly if they come with a matching airbag. I think that's the harder part of the equation.

It makes me wonder what is coming for the car.. Maserati owners got full infotainment and climate control replacements. Now they're working on a digital dash for the Granturismo. Since this kind of stuff is non-destructive and mostly plug and play provided you can remove the parts to get to it, I like it all.

 

Indeed, an expanding aftermarket is something I'm also glad to see. Keeping some of the electronics and aesthetics relevant breathes new life into these future classics.

 

Yeah airbag availability and functioning steering wheel buttons. Interested. I always thought the wheel in my 2010 feels like a bus wheel.

 

When I upgraded my 4 spoke wheel to the next gen 3 spoke I agonized over the color match thing too so instead, I went with a black wheel and I actually like the contrast. I did a few other changes myself to "blend" the interior - went with black center arm rests, black floor mats, Black gear shift. I had an extra set of 3 dash pieces and did those in Piano Black. Happy with the outcome.

The very newest 3 spoke wheel isn't plug/play with a first (or second) gen because the paddle shifters became part of the wheel, and the newest electrical connections do not match.

Breathes a whole new life into the interior. Less luxury motor home, more luxury sport coupe, and truer to the car's GT spirit in my opinion. Can't fail to notice a much better balance to the remainder of the interior aesthetics. A perfect interior now and like the way the leather is split across the handgrip on that model to give an inside and outside dimension to the wheel.

Curious, did you bite the bullet and purchase from a dealer/flying spares, or come across an alternative?
