Reliability 12-13 flying spur

Thx in advance for any info.
The wife loves first gen spur so looking for daily for her

looking for a 12 or 13 base or speed other than suspension are they reliable overall?

Yes, by 2012 most of the issues have been fixed. Vac lines are always an issue no matter what year- my 07 had "upgraded" lines at some point and they still failed at the flared ends. I replaced with a DIY copper tubing bypass and no more issues. You're probably fine anytime past 07 tbh, if I recall there were a bunch of silent upgrades in the internals that year that carried over for the rest of the generation.

The big difference between this and the other cars in your garage (OK, not sure on the gallardo, and hey that list looks familiar, I think I remember you from MaseratiLife) is that small things can lead to engine out services. It's not inherently unreliable, just a crammed-in W12 engine making things difficult or impossible to replace, should something go wrong.

thx 4 the great info. I’m still looking may move to 2014-15 dealer told me overall reliability is better with 2nd gen. I just like the overall styling of the 2012-13 better and definitely looking for w12
