Looking at picking up one of those 7000 lb Quick Jack lifts for my garage. Anyone have any experience with them? Any issues with jacking up the GT like need certain placement?
yes, I enjoy using the 7000EXT. Sometimes I use it over the pit in the garage. Also good for winter storage to keep the airbags unweighted.
Only one issue and it is important!! The rubber lift blocks supplied are too flexible, compress a lot and are hazardous to use. Also they sit too close to the fuel filter when lifting.
The solution was to make (4) pinch weld lifting blocks of steel tubing which work well. Side view photo attached.
(2) 2×4×11ga. rectangular tubing welded on top of each other. Than (2) 3/4 sq. tubes ×11ga the width of the pinch weld lifting points under the vehicle. Made (4) units. The blocks are used on the car frame where the factory jack would attach to the Bentley's pinch weld.
I also use the 7000lb QuickJack with my vehicles...
I've been dancing about purchasing a two- or four-post lift and thought I'd try the QuickJack to see if I like it. I do. It's a little bit of a pain getting it placed exactly where you want it, but not bad. I agree with '1eapplebaum', you have to be careful with using the supplied blocks. I do use the ones supplied, I'm just careful.
Thought about it but 4 post with a bridge jack is what I ended up with. Then I can fit more cars. Wrote "Jack Mode?" with a fat silver sharpie right on the jack to ensure I never make that mistake again

Love that epoxy floor, my concrete is so full of fluid spills I'll have to do that someday. I dread having to remove 5 cars and 2 lifts and a zillion tools for a week to get it done though
