'Backrest not locked' warning, no power to the drivers seat. Suspected faulty control module but they are on back order. Does anyone know the VW equivalent to the Bentley 3W0959760B06 (replaced by 3W0959760E00A)? I see that they seem to share some of the same part numbers e.g. 3D0959760B for the VW Phaeton.
Hello @paclx ,
We have been through this before with @Lars_Tempest and his seat problem, the Pheaton control module did not work for him on his GT, most likely because the Pheaton is a four door like the Flying Spur with different controls for headrest and seat belt adjustments unlike the GT.
I am not sure what vw module would be swappable with your coupe Brooklands, as it uses the Bentley GT seats as shown in the attached pictures.
Thanks Johnny. I read the entire thread. What I really don't understand is why the drivers and passengers modules are different part numbers. On my Bentley both seats have exactly the same functions, the connectors are in the identical positions, the only difference is that the controls are on opposite sides. The only possible difference I can see is the error messages may say "Passenger backrest not locked" if you have a passenger module on the drivers side.
Hello @paclx88 ,
Each module will have it's own part number, coding, sw, and address on the system to tell where it is in the vehicle, just like each of the 4 window lift motor/modules each have a separate part number for each, as address 06 is for the passenger seat, and 36 is for the drivers seat, so if you had two drivers seat modules part number 3W0 959 760 A in both seats, and you tried to scan the passenger seat, but you have two drivers sides installed, you wouldn't be able to read the passenger seat module, or most likely either seat, as they would most likely conflict with each other, and possibly may not even function, or if one had both the same modules in each seat, and depending on year and options, like easy entry and exit for the driver's seat and steering column adjustment by number on the keyfob, if you had two drivers side modules installed, would it move both seats, as they have the same address, or would neither function at all.
