Side door mirror indicator bulb

Hi all. Just got an indicator bulb failure alarm light and message. The bulb in the drivers side uk is intermittent...ie .on its way out. Can any one tell me how to gain access to the bulb and which type I need to buy.
Many thanks for any help given.
Frank.

Hello Frank,
Here is a guide to what bulb I think you are referring to:

It should be a T10 bulb.

Thanks . I will have a go . Issue is intermittent so think bulb is right on the point of total failure.
Im glad I don't have to take the door apart.
👍

Hello @Frank ( Sunnyside ) ,
Just for clarification, exactly which "indicator bulb" are you referring to, as I take "indicator" to mean a turn signal, not the puddle lamp that is discussed in the thread that Xclens has linked to.

The indicator (turn signal) in the mirror is a group of leds, and are not a replacement item, unless you can find the yellow colour and size to solder onto the board.

oh bugger. Yes Johnny its the turn signal in the drivers door. Its been intermittently throwing a bulb failure light in the dash. Just got back from a 4k mile of France and not one issue. Within 5 minutes of getting off euro tunnel it throws a fault. Usual ignition off cleared lamp but came on and off now and again. Just completed another 300 miles to get home today and didn't sow any fault. ??
Thanks,
Frank.

@Frank ( Sunnyside ) ,
If you had any heavy rains, it could have caused a temporary shorting of the printed circuit, had that on my A8L tail lights.

If you need a replacement, Scuderia has a great price, just be sure to get the right side, as I believe that you drive on the wrong side... 😉

Thanks Johnny,
Good info.
I will keep an eye on the situation. Once in a while I can put up with but constant will require a new led unit.
Thanks again Frank.👍

Ahh, my bad! I wasn't totally sure which bulb you were referring to, or what your year model was, but obviously I was mistaken. Thanks Johnny!

Update

So, after clearing the code weeks ago, the indicator lamp failure had not returned. Ive done nothing else so hopefully as I was told above it might have been some moisture.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks for all the help and advice.
