Rosstech VCDS
Rosstech VCDS
Hi there to all of our readers
My wife has bought me a VCDS for Xmas (3 VIN version)
I have downloaded the Software and I am looking forward to firing it up soon
One thing I would appreciate some feedback on........
I have a 2010 GT Speed that was fitted with the factory option of a Back Up Camera
Understanding that this is old technology but the picture on the screen when reversing is not good (especially in Sunny conditions and I live in Florida !!) when compared with my 2020 Merc - does anyone else have the problem with a Gen 1?
When I get my VCDS operational, is there any way to change the contrast / settings on the camera to improve the picture quality or do I need another solution such as new camera etc
Looking forward to your ideas
BTW do you have any other advice when using the VCDS for the first time?
Merry Xmas to everyone on this great Forum - I read it every day

Hello Camaz,
I am no expert of the VCDS yet, although I have purchased the Ross-Tech myself. I have played around with it a little bit, but so far mainly just checking faults and clearing them. The thing I have learned thus far is that you can't "Clear all faults" in the program, you need to clear the faults in every category. Johnnie, one of the experts in this forum, has also showed me how to clear the "Service now" reminders, so I will look into that next year, as well as the idea that you can lower the car via VCDS.
My GT is a 2007 and the rear view camera is absolutely HORRIBLE. I see about a square meter of pavement behind the car. It is good enough so that I don't back into my garage door, but that is about it. I can't understand that Bentley would put out a quality product that bad, even if it so was 15 years ago that the car was built.
Please let me know if you find an easy way to switch out the factory camera. I have the new Tesla screen, so I have the ability to use a new camera, but then I would have to run the wire all the way to the back. I think there are wireless cameras available, but I don't know how well they work.
