'14 Gas Cap Warning

Recently I have started getting a warning to check the gas cap. It has happened 3 times now, but at random intervals. The error goes away if the vehicle is shut off and re-started. Not sure if this is related, but I recently got the RossTech VCDS and ran a complete system scan. I found an error flag for the gas cap and cleared it. It was only after I did that that the warning light first showed up. Beyond the warning indicator it doesn't seem to cause any issue with either performance or operability. Daily driver that I picked up in August and I would appreciate any input from the group.

tteplitzmd is infamous around these parts
No "check engine light?"
Or is it a display specifically to check the gas cap?

Specifically to check the gas cap. Little car symbol with sparkle like thing on the rear quarter. Actually says check fuel cap. Johnny had an idea about low battery casing my seat heating issue and I am starting to think this could be related. The issues only show up when the garage has been particularly cold and the car has been sitting a few days. I don't keep it on the battery tender as it is my daily driver.
