Bentley GTC 07 Brake switch fault? Rodent damage? Trans problems?

Hi Everyone,

Been lurking on here for some time, thanks for the resources......

I have a problem with my 2007 GTC

Car was fine, not used every day, last week when i started the car the EDC light came on and the car only works in manual shift using the paddles, it also starts without putting foot on the brake.

I have looked under the bonnet and found a wire that appears to be chewed and rodent foot prints in the dust around the engine bay.

Have run a scan with VCDS, this returns the errors as below but points to the brake switch / communication, found very little about this on the internet, I now believe that the wiring is probably damaged under the bonnet etc. unless anyone knows any better?

I know very little about the wiring harness locations etc, would anyone have any ideas where the issue is or locations likely to have been damaged to cause this fault?

Here is some of the VCDS log (the full fie is attached):

Hello @themadsparkie ,
I was just about to post on your first comment after getting it approved, but I see you found the issue now.

I had the same with the EPC ABS and traction control lights on, it turned out to be the brake light switch, my rebuild thread at post number 284 tells of all the issues it caused.
