Bentley Trunk lid won’t close on pressing the “boot close”

Bentley Trunk lid won’t close on pressing the “boot close”
My trunk opens fine, but boot close button on the lid won’t close the trunk. Any idea how to open the carpet and what to debug/look for?

dahou is infamous around these parts
check for broken wires in the wiring harness around the hinges .you will have to peel back the wrapping .
