Limited Lifetime Warranty on Arnott Struts
Just wanted to share my good experience with Arnott.
I had bought left and right Arnott struts for my CGT from an eBay vendor. They arrived fine and were installed, replacing the original struts that had worn out.
About 18 months later the left strut failed.
The eBay vendor would only warranty them for 6 months, so I figured I was out of luck.
My Bentley tech indicated he thought Arnott offered a limited lifetime replacement warranty so I contacted Arnott.
Arnott does honor a lifetime warranty, regardless of who sold the struts.
I had already purchased a replacement strut for the failed left one.
I sent Arnott proof of purchase from the eBay vendor, then Arnott sent me a shipping label to return the failed strut, then sent a new unused strut to the eBay vendor, covering shipping costs. The eBay vendor then credited me the full purchase price.
If you have a failed Arnott strut, contact them via their website. They will instruct you to send them the failed strut, using a prepaid shipping label they provide. They will then send a new replacement.
In my case, I couldn't spare the time it took to send the strut and receive the replacement as the car was in the shop.
Bottom line, Arnott will replace their struts at no cost to you, as long as you can provide proof of purchase. This may also apply to other Arnott suspension parts.

What was the reason? You need the shop to investigate and communicate directly to Arnott to have success.
