btw - the ballast is metal?
I don't know the details but in his video it looks like the weight would have to be metal and he also shows installing a bearing from a skateboard wheel.

I just checked my eBay history, and I paid 135 pounds for my 4 floating caps from a private seller in England. Including shipping to Sweden. I wonder what the market value would be for 3D-printed caps, including the bearings and such?
Given the price of new ones I'd think $125 - 200 for a set of 4 would sell but it's probably a very small market.

UPDATE: I finally pulled the trigger on a set I found on ebay. Listed at $375 with free shipping, I offered $300 and the seller countered at $360 less a 10% ebay promo for a net price of $324 +tax. This listing specified that the cap is a replacement for the specific part number of the caps I have. The cost is less than half of what the dealer charges but I don't know if these are OEM or modified.

Pulling the caps off takes 2 seconds with a suction cup and they just snap back in.
This suction cup from Harbor Freight is the perfect size: https://www.harborfreight.com/2-14-i...ter-59688.html

They should be here within a week and I'll post pics then.

The caps arrived today and I'm very happy with them. Installation takes less than 30 seconds.
