gt 2005 - vacuum lines improvements to 2008? possible?
gt 2005 - vacuum lines improvements to 2008? possible?
Read about it a lot, and now started to think...
why we just change to metal lines, and put them in the same place over transmission - why not to upgrade to the 2008+ version, so just move on the back of the engine - to have this solved for future breaks?
not doable? too much complication? cost of extra stuff to change?

really no opinion about it?
trying to get some knowledge if this may be done, just in case i will need to do this rebuilt to metal lines.
if it would make sense to not place it on the gearbox and replace it somewhere accessible without engine out in future?
btw - I got info that BENTLEY indeed is fixing the lines by replacing to another plastic lines but they are explicitly call it HARD-LINES. Did you ever heard that after fixes of the vaccum lines by BENTLEY dealer using their HARD-LINES, they had to fix it again after next few thousands of miles?

Hello @sazam ,
Yes, I agree, it should be possible to move all that resides on the top of the tranny to the rear of the intake manifold like the newer style, I mean all the wiring is there, and longer than needed if moved to the rear of the intake, maybe one would want to shorten the wiring, one would probably just use the 2007 style mount at the rear of the intake, and the solenoids if different, which I am not sure they are, I believe that I have a mounting bracket and the solenoids on the shelf.
You would still want to do all the lines in the firewall area also.
As to the new "hard lines", I have not heard that terminology that I recall at the moment, but I can tell you that they are just the same plastic lines, BUT, they added some foil heat shielding/wrap....

here is bentley dealer invoice where the vacuum lines were fixed with so called hard-lines
after what millage the problem with vacum lines occur? is there any pattern? and if the same problem happens after replacement with "hard lines" from bentley.
this may give answer if the "hard lines" are really smth different/better or the same.
