2008 Gt ac compressor seized

Hi all.
My 2008 speed ac compressor seized solid. Does any one know if it can be changed out without removing the engine?
It was so badly seized it stopped the engine from starting.
Thanks for any advice .
Frank

LarrysFlyingSpur is infamous around these parts
My AC compressor & related parts were replaced without an engine removal, Flying Spur however.

Thanks for your reply. My OPC estimates £3500 😬
Flying spares quotes £600 for the compressor. Bentley price them at £1200.
I dont understand how much labour is required to change the item. 2K Labour is a lot of hours?

Now fixed. Old ac compressors bearings locking up due to severe wear.
Total bill was £3500.

Flying spares could get a reconditioned unit circa £400 or an OEM compressor exactly the same re branded Bentley part for £600.
Both not available in the time scale needed so I had to go with the Bentley part at £1004 plus VAT.
The rest of the bill was diagnostics fluids and Labour.
Im going to have to invest a scissor car hoist and do these things my self.
It was so bad it stopped the engine from turning over which gave the symptoms of a broken seized starter motor. Which is what I first thought it was.
