Front Suspension Collapsed after Battery Changed

My suspension held for months while my car has been basically stored for winter.

My battery died, so I replaced it.

About 10 minutes after I put the new battery in, the front suspension is completely collapsed. Rear is fine.

I didn't notice for a few days, but I know it fully collapsed in 10 minutes by the security camera in my garage and the time stamps.

Might this have anything to do with a battery swap? Or am I about to experience the pain of strut replacement?

The car does not raise when turned on. All I get is a STOP! Ride Height too Low message. It doesn't even seem to try and reinflate. Is there a special procedure for filling collapsed suspension?

Hello silver-T,

Try lifting the front end with a jack(s) so the body lifts up 6-12 inches or so. You may have to drive up on 2 x 8 planks inorder to get the jack(s) under the frame. The body height sensors are bottomed out. The car sees this as Implausible and locks out. Once the car is lifted a bit start the car. Hopefully the compressor kicks in....this is what I did in a similar situation.

xclens is infamous around these parts
Just a thought.. I don't know if it's necessary in this situation, but should he also place it in "JACK MODE" prior to doing this?

Good evening xclens,
Jack mode will inhibit the system. The objective is to engage the pressure pump. Jack Mode locks out the pump. The wheels must also be toucing the ground. The body of the car is only being lifted a few inches...12in or so. The level sensors need to see a plausible value to activate....if this is infact the issue.

Apparently I have to lift the car a bit to get the system to activate. However my strut front left is totally blown out. So that is the real problem
