Chrome trim on door bottom

Chrome trim on door bottom
Hi all. Due to corrosion on the door bottom edge , I am going to have to remove the long thin chrome strip.
Has any one one got some good advice as to removing the trim and fastening it back on.
Really annoyed as the corrosion continues onto the sill and wing and arch.
