Folks,

Here’s a new one, for me at least. The message “system starting” just started displaying on my infotainment system for quite some time, when I press the “Media” button. All other buttons map, nav, etc, function as designed and my phone is connected through Bluetooth. I did have an iPhone 5 connected to the media interface cable in the glove compartment. I have synced remove the iPhone, but the message still prevails.

Question:
1) is this a sign that the HDD is going bad?
2) how do I reset / re-initialize /reboot the system so I can view the menu?
