I have a 2015 Bentley GTC I purchased an engine from a fellow member in these forums. After installing the engine I had some misfires. I checked and found a disconnected vacuum line which was coming from the strut tower area next to the line for the EVAP purge valve. It may be routed incorrectly but It has suction, the part # is 3W1612041 AN and described a servo vacuum line.
i found it tied into the purge system with some t connectors which I knew was wrong. So the vacuum line has suction when engine is started but I don’t know where it goes. I searched Parts diagrams, service manual and ETKA. I also watched Johnny HotSpurs rebuild videos and researched his threads still nothing. Can someone please help.
Hello @BentleyV12 Toshif,
What happened, I saw a video of the vehicle with the engine running, and that seems to be almost 3 years ago, on what was sent 4+ years ago.
I have to say, I was a little shocked by fx's comments in the previous video as the engine was being assembled, bolts cut down, dowel pins shaved down, etc... I also tried to explain that the spacer was installed by me to hold the starter in place for shipping, as to not have the starter motor hanging on it's wiring, regardless of if the spacer was factory installed or not (mine is), but the fact that he removed the spacer, but then had to cut the original transmission to engine mounting bolts shorter to fit without the spacer, concerns me, just as the most likely incorrect routing of certain vacuum/purge/evap lines, as it appears, yet when I tried to help, my comments on the video disappeared, as did my phone calls go un-returned.
So, it's very upsetting to hear that 4+ years later, you still have an issue, is the installer going to stand behind the install, or is the issue on you because you supplied 2007 or 2008 turbos instead of 2014 or 15 turbos ?
I installed the 2014 turbos on my 2011 Supersports engine transmission package, and installed it in my 2005 GT body, with 2005 evap and steering rack area vacuum lines, I only had one issue of the driver's side sleeved hose from the turbo to the wheel well area fitting, that came up short by less then an inch, so I made a 90° fitting to fit as shown in linked posts.
You can click the links below to see the information on what may be your issue, we need some good clear pictures, and plenty of them showing different angles, close-up, and from a distance to get a true picture of what you have, so, the air filter box / MAF removed, possibly the coolant reservoir un-bolted and tilted up, and most definitely the turbo intake funnel removed for a good shot at the 3 ports/lines to the passenger side turbo, along with the passenger side front wheel well showing the sleeved hose from the turbo to the wheel well to connection.
Also check out this link were I discussed same with @Shaqovic , as he had the lines mis-routed, along with the metal tubing pulled out of the turbo on the passenger side, he referred to the same part number for the vacuum line as you have.
i know it’s very upsetting I shelled a lot of labor to get that engine and tranny in the car. The transmission doesn’t shift into sport mode and when using the gear selector I hear a very loud metallic click every time. It’s to do with the alignment of the gear shift cable but that’s a whole another story.
will he stand behind the install, I’m not sure. I did contact him and he did say he will take a look a bit later in the month.
so you were right. I appreciate you. The turbo I’m using is a hybrid of the 2015 and 2007. The turbo air inlet has only 2 ports and my original engine which I kept (2015) has 3 ports. I’m guessing that’s why he teed into the purge valve as it ports there. So I’m assuming that’s my issue now the question is:
can my 2015 turbo inlet pipe work on a 2007 turbo? Will it bolt right on? Can I tee into the purge lines since they all port to that pipe?
lastly, can I drill into the elbow pipe of the air box and just route the pipe there after the MAF?
thanks in advance

Reason: Fix QUOTE
Hello @BentleyV12 ,
Please post pictures as requested.
As to your comment of "hybrid", please explain, because something isn't right with your comment as to the number of ports on the passenger side turbo, I have turbos here from 2004, 05, and 07, I have had the 2008 turbos, and lastly the 2014 turbos I installed, the 2004 to 2008 turbos, be it left side or right side, they all have 3 ports on each turbo, be it left or right, the only difference being that some years between the 2004 to 2008 had one port on the driver's side capped with a rubber cap, the passenger side always has all 3 ports used, NOW, on the 2014 turbos, the driver's side only has 2 ports, but the passenger side still has 3, which makes me think, being that you used the word "hybrid", did someone take the 90°elbow/fitting off of the driver's side cold side of the turbo to use on the passenger side for some reason, it's the only reason to make sense of your 2 ports comment for the passenger side, as all years we have discussed have 3 ports on the passenger side, not 2.
But, regardless of all that, I just want an answer, as proper installation with the correct 3 port piece would make your job/life easier, I say "regardless" because, eventhough the passenger side should have 3 ports, I just put my finger down the 90° elbow that has the 3 ports, and all 3 come into the same area inside the 90°, so, it's not like the ports go to other areas of the cold side of the turbo, SO, if you indeed have only 2 ports on the passenger side, then you can tee into one, but I need pictures, and answers to be precise, and I need you to understand that certain lines that go to these ports, these lines have one way valves in them, therefore keeping the boost out of them, and only having vacuum when the intake has vacuum, not boost.
Please be sure to check out the 6speedonline links in my previous post to get the understanding of the lines and turbos, and please, post the pictures.

Reason: Spelling
my broken engine has 3 ports in the passenger side.
he used half the turbo from the older engine and half from my newer engine if that make sense. For some reason he used the 90 from the old but most of the new. I know this because half the turbo is missing on my broken engine.
please see attached pics. I was told it’s not a good idea to tee into the Purge line going to that 90?
i was going to drill a little hole into the elbow pipe going into the turbo and putting a 90 degree barbed fitting. What do you think of that ?
This is the hose that’s not attached the part # is similar to that of the thread you directed me to and also routed from the same location as the other threads. So it just route to the elbow.
