Does the muffler/exhaust/intake just push into a grommet in the spare tire well? Or does it have a pipe/hose on other side?

I double checked the front struts for leaks again, this time raised up as high as it would go- again no leaks at top by or around wire entry, no leaks on air connection, no leaks at bags. I soaked everything down and nothing, but still dropped overnight, mostly just the front-rear help up for 4 hours. I have ordered a valve block, not sure what else it could be at this point.. Thoughts??

Johnny,
Checked for leaks everywhere, found nothing on struts nor valve block, ran tests on level control- sequential test said-OK and res pressure was 16.24 BAR. Ran all the options in basic settings, one at a time, and all worked no problem. Said my heights were not saved even tho I did that a month ago, so I redid the adaption, gave me some grief on the #4 right rear setting, if I entered the actual height which was off by 4mm, it would say invalid and I had to start over, I tried 6 times, same result, so 7th time I just used the default number and saved, then entered 1 on #5 and save and it confirmed calibration. So after all that here is were I'm at - still will leak down in front over 12-24 hrs, rear seems to hold. I have a valve block I ordered, anything else I should do before I change the valve block??? When changing valve block can I just use the basic settings and empty res, and then front, and the rear until system is 1.95 bar which is atmospheric pressure, then unplug valve block, unhook lines, unbolt bracket, swap bracket to new valve block, reinstall, hookup lines, plug in. Then start car or should I do something in VCDS to activate level control? I really need to put this air suspension issue to bed, so I can do 40k maintenance, plugs/coil packs/ egt circuit boards/ cover gaskets and seals, etc
@johnnyhotspurgt Thanks for your help!

467 views, and 4 responses-thanks Johnny, but surely there must be others that have had the same issues I'm having! As usual with mechanical issues, when there are 2 or more issues with the same system, repair is exponentially more difficult because as you try and resolve the problem these multiple things often taken you down the wrong or various rabbit holes and it gets frustrating fast. I my case I found a leak on the right hand front strut and as recommended by many on the forum, I replaced both front struts and after much research I used Miessler out of Germany as they are the only ones I found that rebuild both the air side and the shock side of the struts as well as keeping all the factory functions of shock tuning and level control. They also have some brand new units, but the rep stated that they are a bit stiffer valving than stock-more performance oriented vs comfort . so I went with the rebuilt units-$1700.00/pr. shipped to USA including Tariff charges and no core needed! But I digress, Installed shocks, and did upper arms while in there, and all went well-massive improvement in drive feel, steering feel and comfort is great and all features of the system work just as original. The struts ;ook great and function as good as they look, delighted with the product. Unfortunately the front still drops, not quite as fast or as far as previously but the problem is still partially there, so of course I thought maybe a leak on the air line connection, or even possibly the new struts are leaking-after all I used a company not well known on the site, even tho they have been in biz for over 20 years and get great reviews in Germany from their Audi/Porsche and the less Bentley customers. So I went about soaping down the front struts, both sides and made sure they were leak free, soaped down the valve block by compressors, no external leaks, ran diagnostics thru VCDS and all checked out, checked air compressor function pumps to 16.24 bar, even re-ran the level control adaption relearn and that was confirmed. So I can't find any external leaks, all parts function as tested and as they should, so pretty much down to an internal leak on valve block or a line between front and rear, but a low mileage car with no accidents or any under carriage scrapes or damage seems unlikely. Here I am hoping someone can shed some light on something I missed or something I should try before just throwing a valve block at the problem, which I hate to just start throwing parts at the problem, but I'm out of ideas. HELP!?

seems like you have to fix the stuff thru elimination -> if you suspect the valve block, just replace and see what happens.

but what I would do before replacing the part, is just to put the car to high mode drive it, come back to garage, then turn on jack mode, and to be 10000000% sure, I woud disconnect both batteries - to eliminate any chance of electronics being crazy.

tell us what was the result after a night

Sorry for the delay in feedback, but winter has arrived here, have not been driving the Bentley since my last update. I did replace the valve block, but the problem remains. At this point it is still only the front dropping, so with new struts that I have retested for leaks and found none, it must be a leak in one or both of the lines that go to front struts. Does anyone know if there are fittings available for the ends of theses lines so they can be tested? Or, is there some procedure for testing the lines that I'm not aware of? Any help would be appreciated!

Also currently unable to get the car up on my hoist as I have another project disassembled on it right now. My questions where exactly do these lines run from the valve block to the front struts? It appears they go into trunk below spare, are these lines run thru interior of car???
