Amp Blowing Fuses
Amp Blowing Fuses
Morning all.
I have an issue and the 3 20a fuses for the Naim amp have blown. I have had battery issues (again) but it has been on charge and had a good run. I went to change the fuses but as soon as I touch the first one to the contacts it sparks and pops. I have VCDS and had run some checks but got numerous non-responsive controllers but got a fault on the battery charging module which suggests there is too much current being drawn. When using the c-tel charger on the starter battery it starts changing then goes to the red warning light.
is there anything in particular I should check first before trying to remove the amp. I have had it out previously as it has been repaired and worked fine again until the battery went flat. If there are any other fuses or relays to check first I’d rather do that knowing how awkward it is to get to the amp. Alternatively would it be better just to get an auto electrician to do some checks?
Thanks in advance.
