bmw dealers still charging over msrp for m5?

now that they have a manual offered I may change my mind about it. The used ones I see in the northern virginia aread are high 70s / low 80s - ridiculous - but i dont want the smg anyway.

isn't the model revision being released spring 2008? 575HP and DSG tranny? hopefully, BMW will retain the 6 speed manual option

used market will tank further once it is released

agreed, any M car must have a manual option.

you are right, it is for the 09 model year but i seem to remember reading somewhere that the 09's would be released spring of 08? don't quote me on that but it is worth some further investigation. no sense buying new when they are about to be upgraded and no sense buying used until the prices drop further. regardless, its a fantastic car and you will love it no matter what variation you happen to get. good luck

I've been looking for an M5 and here is what I've found:

The manual is easily discounted moreso than the SMG version. They couldn't give away the manuals for 2007 models so they ran a special lease to try to clear out that inventory back during the summer.

Keep in mind that you can't turn off DSC with a manual.

Dealers are more than willing to discount off a brand new M5 (seen them go for $5k off)

The M5's IMO have already tanked...at Manheim they can be had in the 60's. Any dealer getting sticker or sticker+ is on crack.

that's stupid considering bmw plans on killing warranty extension on all ///M models. is this true? it would hurt the resale value badly
