i will see how cayman S go...i guess i have to testdrive in tip since i cant drive stick
i dont take passenger so i dont really care for back seats nor space.

here's how i configured cayman s.
very loaded and i even had to drop turbo wheels to minimize the MSRP.
some of options aren't sure of. (such as aluminum grill on sides and front bumper, etc.)

another question, is it worth buying a loaded car "if" i am going to sell in 3~4 years?
from my understanding, you dont really get anything out of options when you sell the car so the actual mileage/year/condition matters NOT options.

what would you do if you are in my situation?
1. get options like you wanted to
2. minimize options as much as possible since you will take the hit when you sell the car

i know that it's very personal but i am just curious

also, am i missing any "must get" options?
thanks all!
why not buy a used cayman s? ive seen some nice ones that are tempting me. other than having more space, the Cayman S is a much better car than the m3 out of the box and mod for mod too.
if youre going to buy new...get what you like, but just remember, if youre going to spend 20K on options for a cayman, your not gonna get it back in resale.

i would option the car the exact same way you did...except i would add in adaptive sport seats and full leather interior

if you dont need the space, get a porsche. for me i needed the back seats so i got an m3.

that said, i would however consider getting a boxster s. it is cheaper than the gayman, performs almost as well, and you can have fun both top up and top down.

right on! the ONLY reason i think most people pick an m3 over a Porsche (those that can afford one) is because the m3 has more space.

The boxster and cayman are such a dream when it comes to handling...and are just as fast as a stock m3. im sure you know all this. if you want a more dedicated car that is overall better (except for space and backseat) then the cayman/boxster is the right car for you.
i never use the backseat in the m3...its worthless

hehe, i use my back seat all the time (too many women too little time ). actually the majority of the summer my back seat houses a wind screen but there have been enough times where you have to take a pair some place and they wont go by themselves. that and pesky clients get pissed when u gell em they gotta ride in the trunk.

but seriously, the m3 is a great great everyday car. the boxster/caymen are louder and edgier. they are definitely the "sportier" cars. but if that is what you like, and you dont need the back seat then you may as well go with the porsche. there is plenty of cargo space in the P-cars. if you need a more relaxed (and i use this term loosely and only relatively) car then go with the m3. you really cant go wrong either way and will not be dissapointed, but if you prefer the sportier feel of a vehicle then you may as well get a porsche.

cayman has 911 feel to it so i like it.
boxter...i know it performs well and etc. but i dont think i like the overall design of it (exterior).
I will look into it in depth

IF i get cayman S, i will consider those options, PorscheC4.
I wish I had more money

cayman s is sick...everytime i see one i wanna trade my m3 straight up on the spot, and dont even get me started about 996TTs, GT3s, 997S'...and what gets me going is that i see at least one 996TT (my dads) and one GT3 (guy down the street) every day. the m3 is a good car, usuable and quick but the Porsches is a whole different sport as far as im concerned. its no wonder SO many guys buy an m3 and then head to Pcar town never to return to buying an M division product...im pretty sure this will be my first, last, and only M car. its back to Porsche town for me next!

why cayenne? seems like 996TT is the way to go unless you need AWD/space.
no love for 997?

my mind keeps changing as well...

i always wanted e46 m3, then i heard about procede so i was in love for 335i then e92 m3, GTR, back to e46 m3, 997, cayman s now.
still torn between cayman s and e46 m3 depending on situation

if i get co-op this spring, i will be up PA for 5 months hahaha

the cayman s has more passion than an m3 has!

i love the 997's but the 996TT makes me melt every time i see one because its so hot, agressive, sexy, etc, etc, etc.

the 911 turbos are in your face and just scream "**** YOU!" i love that about them, plus the tuning potention with those twin turbos. i already have an NA car, now i need a FI car, thus 996TT or Cayenne turbo.

if your in PA, we def gotta get a drive going...depending on where in PA LOL

how much does 996TT go for with avg mileage and avg condition?

maybe you wanna get new GT2? hahaha
Ridley Park, PA is where the office is. (Boeing)
what's the area like and how far is it from your place?
