Take the E92 M3 or buy an used F-Car?

My E92 M3 just arrived last week in hk. Alpine White w/ Black interior, CF roof, 19" rims, M-Drive, Navi. but i'm still debating rather the car is worth it or not. its only a tad less then a E60 M5 and cost more then a 997 Carrera S. kinda been a M3 fan since E30, but for the same amount of money, i can easily find a used 360 Modena.... especially i've never been a Ferrari owner yet....

^^ like what he said, its like apples to oranges...if you can afford the maintenance of a Ferrari, go for it, M3 wouldn't come close to the audible and performance euphoria of an fcar.

If I could afford the maintenance on a Ferrari I wouldn't even think twice about it.

I say F-car all the way but remember just because the intial price might be close don't think it will stay that way because the maintenace will bring that price way up there quickly.

Saw about 15 new M3, at dealers, IAA and yesterday my firt two ones in the wild, a red one from a dealer and the other was white and it was looking nice but a Ferrari F360 is a Ferrari. You have still a e46 M3 or? So trade it. It is new but in 2years it is also only a M3 and the Ferrari is a GTsport car.

Obviously get the Ferrari. Other than the fact it will hold its value, and the M3 will depreciate greatly, it's just so much more of a car, and much more fun to drive.
Take it from someone who has a 360 and has had every recent BMW M car - you MUST go with the 360, no questions! You won't even get the same smile with the BMW.

the only reason i'm having this debate is that I can either be the first person to take delivery of an E92 M3 or buy a really desirable car for the same amount of money. but the biggest problem is that the 360 is old...and tbh kinda slow in this day and age....but I agree that it still sounds like sex

its just really hard to justify the spending on the E92 M3 right now at the price they want. I know i'll eventually buy one thats for sure. but either be the first or wait a few years when the hype dies down and buy one slightly used for half the price (can probably get M-DCT by then).

or I can go all out in performance and spend the money on the new GTR with the left over for mods or built a track day special with a new Honda Civic Type R....

u guys are gonna think i'm crazy to put a Civic Type R on the same shopping list as a Ferrari lol

dude...what is wrong with you?? if you have the money to afford the maintenance, you should NEVER even think of an m3 rather than a ferrari.

buy the ferrari!

i'm just those that like the lastest and greatest... especially when a replacement model has already been released (F430) i just dont like to get last gen stuff even if its great lol

i'm searching for a nice 360 Modena atm, see whats out in the market. but most of the used ones on the market dont have a clean history.

if you have the capacity to buy a used modena at the moment, maybe you can hold out to buy a new 430 in the future?

then you would have the latest and greatest, twice!

or do a v-10 swap into a 335.

360 and mod the **** out of it. I always wanted to build a 360 to the fullest (Natural Aspiration only, no Forced induction) I would love for a company to come out and provide cams, headers, exhaust, software and etc for the 360 for reasonable price. I think it's possible to squeeze 30-40hp through natural aspiration.

Get the 360 and call it a day. If i had the chance to get the F430, I would refuse. I like to work my way up. I think you need to experience the different models that Ferrari has to offer. You dont' want to go to F430 if you never driven an F-car, it's most likely going to spoil you and everything else is going to seem slow or uncool.
