I'd say do it because you've already enjoyed what the M5 have to offer. You know how it drives, you know how fast it goes and you've had seat time in it. So keeping it longer won't add anymore to the excitement. The Z06 in the other hand is a new car that you haven't experienced with. So you'll be able to enjoy it for a year until you reach the status you've reached with your M5.

Come on, you can not compare the two cars! Totally different performance vehicles.
Only you can answer this question.
I personally love my M5 and see keeping it for a long time, again that's personal. I feel the same way about the GT3, as a matter of fact I never see myself parting w/ it.
If you do not have a connection w/ the car then you dump it after you see no more positives for it like M3 Addict said.
I'd recommend you get on the list for the ZR1 instead of the C6 Z06. That 620 bhp and 620 lbs/ft torque motor sound awesome and w/ ceramic brakes !!!!
That way you enjoy the M5 a little longer.

Good luck,
GT3Ranger

If the M5 is you only car keep it, if its just a second car go for the Z06. Both are great cars, but each in there own way. I have had both and still have the Z06, maybe that will help you.

Just send it down here to ASR and woop the crap outta Z06's then you'll have the best of both worlds The Z06 is a great car though, I loved ours and wouldn't mind another one as a 5th or 6th car one day!

z06s are great cars but vettes still lack the feel of bmws IMO. I'd keep the M5.

They are very different cars. What I can say for the Z06 Vette is that it's terrifyingly fast in a way that the M5 is not. Probably the first car I've been in when I've felt I do not ever need a car that fast. It's a beast.
