Went to the dealer tonight to check out a lease on a M6 coupe. I know the residuals this month are crap...but for a pretty loaded m6, minus the full leather which is a 3500 option..but mainly everything else...looking at around 5700 down, 1577/month...pretty high..

now the dealer, who i have gotten cars from before..was willing to dump a silver/manual convertible for the same price...it has been sitting there for about 3 months.

should I look at an m3? which is about 4500 out of pocket, 1250 or so a month...

thoughts?

if youre going to buy another bimmer, get an m3 coupe, its like a mini m6 but much better looking and not nearly as heavy. making the m3 in coupe, sedan and vert pretty much make the m5 and m6 obselete as far as im concerned. better driving dynamics, not as heavy, just as good a motor, cheaper, etc, etc, etc.

the m3 is leasing out around 1250....i drive a 335 now..modded up..so why get something similar to what I have? I pay 717/month for my 335.

Do you want to buy my KWv2 and Black BBS Ch?

Keep the 335 and wait to see what the F10 will bring. If it is 5.5L TT w/ M-DCT like some have suggested, you will kick yourself...

That seems like a terrible deal. Mine was way cheaper. Can things have changed so much in 2 weeks?

You say that because you have an M3...my car now with the modifications is faster than an new m3. I have put this up against my friends 09 coupe from 0-60, 40-100....

i could get an m3..but to the average person, they wouldnt know the difference between a 335 and m3...if I am going to get something else..it is going to be a real upgrade...

to me a 911 and m6 aren't apples to apples. the m6 gets you some things the 911 can't get you and vice versa.

i don't like leasing.... because it locks u down for X yrs. and you will always be upside down.

Leasing is definitely the cheapest way to drive a new M-Car right now. If you must change cars, a 24 month lease on an M6 Vert would be my suggestion.
