Alpina B7 Wheels

I’ve been debating for some time whether to buy an Alpina B7, I currently have a ‘01 740i sport and am looking to replace it. One of my main concerns with the B7 is the wheels, they look vulnerable to potholes and are expensive to replace if damaged. I believe BMW offers insurance on the wheels for a new car purchase but what if the car was bought second hand? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm not looking to buy the wheels, but trying to determine if the tire on those wheels are prone to blowing out.
