I have had two E36 M3's. My current driver is a 1998. They are great cars. Good gas mileage and quick. The key is to buy a nice example. One that has not been wrecked or abused and has a complete service history.

btw, i'm 6' 2" and fit in the e36 M3 just fine. i wouldn't want to sit in the backseat for a cross-country trip, but if you rarely use the back seat you should be fine.

Been driving my '98 Turbocharged M3 on a daily basis for the past 18 months,ofcourse weather permitting,with out any issues...the car puts down 370 rwhp/390 rwtq and is a blast to drive....
