Just picked up a 750il, black sport, and am thinking of going with some 22 monoblocks. Essentially P40, yet with a lip because of the size. How does black chrome sound to you all? Thanks

Sounds funky. Would like to see it though, black chrome is the next big thing. Even though it's not really that new

personally, i would never put rims like that on that type of car, though thats my feeling...i guess somewhat conservative.

22" P40's with a lip sounds a tad too imaginative.

 

The problem is that 20" mesh wheels on a latest gen 7 series look way too small unless they are slammed. I have a 650i and run into the same problem. I want the p40 monoblocks but they only come in a 20" size. 21" would be perfect. 22" for a 6 series is a tad too big but are ok on the 7 with bigger wheel wells.

I am thinking about matte black 20" p40's with the white pinstripe on my Alpine white 650i. I have KW v3 coilovers so I can really bring the car down to remove the huge wheel gap that would be left with 20" rims.

 

I think black chrome will look hot. 750's are tricky to mod and not look overdone and too much bling, but it sounds like yours is on the right path. Post up pics when you do it.
