I'm looking for a black/black DCT M3 sedan. Forget the color combo ... I can't find a single DCT sedan for sale anywhere. I searched the Dealer Locator on bmwusa.com, autotrader, etc. and nothing.

It's like I'm missing something here. DCT WAS available in 2008 right??

Do I just have to break down and order a new car and wait for it? I've never had to do that before. I don't know if I could stand the wait!

DCT was available for 2008. I would check on M3post in the FS section as they have a few from time to time.

I've been looking for one too and all the dealers have told me there are no more 2008 DCT sedans available. There were not too many built for 2008 model year - I've seen several 2009s but the deals on them are not nearly as good as they are on 2008s. GL.

I must be blind, I can't even find any DCT sedans. I pulled up over 1,000 E90/92 M3s on autotrader, and pretty much every single one is listed as a Manual transmission. I think that is the problem - most are from dealers who don't give good descriptions and just list it as a manual even if it is DCT. Anyone know offhand if you can tell if its a DCT or 6 speed based on the VIN??

There were something like 30-40 2008 DCT sedan's because it wasn't available until very late in the model year. I'm surprised there aren't that many 2009 sedan's with DCT. If I were a dealer, 4/5 Sedan's would have DCT and heated seats for the wife.

There are none in the Western region as of today - I work at a BMW dealer and did a locate for any color - allocation for 09 Sedans is fairly tight too. Your best bet isl probably to ordering.

Thanks. I may have to just do that. I called my local dealer today and they said they have 1 allocation left right now for mid-march delivery. Basically 6-8 weeks he said. Does that sound realistic?

I found 2 that are listed as automatics but I'm guessing they're not. Any chance you could run these VINs for me?

No joy on either VIN - national search shows ZERO 08 DCT sedans avail. You will need to order or take a coupe

Thanks for checking. I may have found one after all, unless the description AND pics are wrong. Wish me luck!

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately white is my least favorite color and so that ones out.

Anyone know if there is a way to search ALL BMW dealers new inventory in one place? I'm sure there are some 09s out there at dealers but if I have to search every BMW dealers website one at a time it will take forever and a day.

I asked my local sales guy if he could try to find me one but he said he couldn't. I'm guessing this is BS and he just didn't feel like helping me out. He said they are such "hot" cars that even if he found one that dealer would never transfer the car to his dealership blah blah blah.

Your local guy is correct. The locate system shows ZERO 08 DCT M3 sedans avail. There may be a few at dealers but these have been reported sold for some reason and a dealer can't find them any easier than you can! If you want an 09 I can locate one for you and have it here in 7-10 days.
