I was leaving my local supermarket tonight (in my brand new X5) and i needed to make a right onto this street (single lane). So i look to make sure it's clear to turn and i see this car about a quarter mile away so i thought it was safe enough to turn. As soon as i made the turn i see that car right up on my ***, we were in a 35mph zone and he was going a good 60-70mph. I dont know how to describe this part so i used good ole google maps. basically I (blue) was going into the left turn lane and the guy behind me (red) decides that 35mph isnt good enough so he drives into the pocket to pass me. Im already half way into the left turn lane and we almost hit each other...i slammed on the brakes and let him pass.


After he passes me i see that this guy is driving a brand new M5! hooray! So now we have a jackass speeding on local streets and showing off his car. NOTE: it's been raining pretty hard in socal lately. Let's continue... so i have this M5 in front of me and the ground is wet. We get the green light to make a left onto ventura and that guy floors it. Right when he floored it i saw that he had DSC turned off...so eventually he starts to fishtail really bad and barely misses a parked big rig. He goes on to yank the steering wheel to get the car back into the control and he almost hits me again! (I was on his left side). I ended up stopping next to the M5 at another red light and when i looked in guess what?!! it was a really young guy, im going to assume he was a teenager borrowing his daddy's car. it just pisses me off how some people think they're the **** when they're driving around in a expensive and fast car but yet they dont have the slightest clue on how to drive the car. SO TO THE GUY DRIVING AROUND THE WOODLAND HILLS AREA IN YOUR BRAND NEW SILVER M5 FROM PACIFIC BMW...F*CK YOU!

it doesn`t matter if it`s a M5 or a 318i...

MANY reckless drivers do crap like that ,but of course it`s a lot worse if a young kid is driving like that with a car that is worth more than a years salary of a well paid academic.

I could tell you guys many stories of the Autobahn...
Guess why Porsche and BMW etc. are not that easy on test drives anymore?

Ha! I saw that same Pacific BMW Plate M5 the other day. I live in the area but I have a murdered sapphire blk so I know it wasn't me. I'll try to take it easy around any X5's I see on Ventura.

Brand new X5? I am interested in getting on as well. Did you get the 4.8? What kind of deals are out there?

 

So many rich snobby kids live in my area and they drive all these nice cars but they have no sense of control...it's pretty sad.

aww man you missed out on a great deal! BMW was giving out rebates on their cars up until Feb 2nd. So i paid around 50k for a 3.0, original price was about 55k. On a side note you should go check out this X6 they have at bob smith in the showroom you'll want to buy it once you see it.

 

X6 is nice except for it's 1 major problem. You really can't see anything out of the back window. When I test drove it, I noticed anything with a roof-line beneath the X6's rear window, you won't see lol. Other than that though, it was fantastic to drive. Also, it's a bit pricey for what it is.

 

That looks like Winnetka and Ventura. I'm in that area.
