--BMW has confirmed that it has canceled the Z4 M--

I personally think that the Z4M lacked the horsepower to make it sexy in the male dominated sports car buyer realm. I think its a great car...but when it debued with the old M3's engine i was dissapointed, to me the Z4 was obviously the next genereation up from the Z3...and like the M3 eventually did in its new generation the Z4M should have come with a next gen engine. If they made it with 400hp i'd have sure given it a good look over...but at 333hp...not so much.
Plus like others have said...i'm sure there will be another. The M division just gets the itch and cant keep there hands of a sporty model.

I will admit the engine feels more agressive in the Z4 than it does in the M3. The M3 convertibles are especially sluggish feeling with there extra weight. It sounds like that the M division maybe moving away from the high revving format though.

Imo, the problem with Z4M is that they always come out years after the production of the non M version or 2 years before the newer body come out. For people like me, I love Z4Ms but I hate to buy cars knowing that the body style is already 3,4 years old and the newer body style will come out in 2 years. Not to mention the resale value after the newer body style came out. Just my 2 cents.
