Very tempting, bro.

But...my I think my next P-car will only be a TT (more than likely a 997) that I plan to mod the hell out of.

The e90 M3 has the handling and the chassis rigidity of the e46 by to the 10th. It's unbelievably sharp. It's the closest car I've driven to my Audi R8 in terms of overall driving experience.

That's my opinion. I'd suggest you test drive both each for 30 minutes and you'll see the difference but I know you'll go for the M6 since you own a Corvette; it's brutal.
I owned a couple of E46 M3's in the past. WONDERFUL cars, just too underpowered for me.

It sounds I really need to drive a E92 before I make up my mind. Thanks!

If I wasn`t stuck with my 2 bimmers and had the option to choose from such a great buyers market I`d take the chance to get this beast!
No question, the M3 as well as the M6 are nice cars with a lot of potential(even if you want to leave them stock)
but a BS simply is on another level....and it`s just SO sexy...

I would go with the e92 M3 all day long as a daily, you already have a monster in the garage so speed shouldn't be the deciding factor (not the M3 is slow by any means). For daily use I would opt for the more balanced, nimble machine to enjoy, that still gives you the creature comforts you desire.

And in my opinion the M3 is worlds better looking than the M6.

One thing is for sure though, it is a win-win situation for you, I am sure you will be thrilled with either.

Beautiful Z06 btw...

Why don't you go for an AMG? Black Edition CLK63? SL55, 65? They're monsters! I think it'd fit your power demand perfectly. Quite scary when you fully press the pedal to be honest.

I owned a SLK55 AMG in the past and it was simply amazing to get the power right away. I also drove intensively the SL55, simply unbelievable.

I drove an S65 for a few weeks, and was bored with it within the first 2 days. I found it fairly powerful, but heavy, cumbersome and quite boring.

I would imagine the BS is more exciting??

I have no idea what your thinking about. AMG all the way. The only reason not to get one is your scared of driving one everyday. The sound and the feel you'll never get from an M3 or M6.

the BS definitely sounds like a muscle car, especially when you lift off the gas and it gives up that little gurgle, bubling sound. the power it has is crazy, when its spinning the tires at 45-50mph when you try and punch it in 2nd gear. even though it spins the tires, you can pretty much stand on it and the car will straighten itself out after a while. the steering wheel feels awesome and it looks like a little formula 1 steering wheel w/o all the buttons of course. the shifting is one thing i will have to get use to. where in the BS, its better to hold the downshift button and the car will select the best gear for you. compared to when i had my M6 and you could flick through the gears up or down with no problems. all in all it seems like mercedes did a great job on this one.
so it looks like being patient and waiting for the right car really worked out this time and i was blessed enough to be able to get it and deal with people i never met to make the transaction go so smoothly.

M6 is leagues ahead of M3 in terms of performance, exclusivity, and status. I know I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but I wouldn't drive an M3 if I was over 25... it just has that image of a boy-racer type car, something you maybe buy your son if he got into a good college

Having said that, I think you should get a Lamborghini Gallardo, you can buy an 04 for well under $100k.

I kind of agree with Tuksir, the M3 give the boy-racer image.

Since you have a Modded Z06 I say go with a M6. I think the E92 M will feel slightly underpowered compared to the M6 in your case

Once you drive them you will know instantly, once I drove a M6 i was in love compared to the E92 M.

So I guess you're under 25 since you have an SLK? My sister has one too.
But I get where you're coming from..the e92 m3 is aimed for a 'younger' crowd. I love my M3 and everyone that's seen it does so too.
Having said that, I'm 18

M6

You have a Z06 which rides hard, you need a GT and there is no better then the M6 imo. It's very fast, very comfy and sounds like heaven with the high revving V10. Also great steering and brake feel.

Some have suggested the CLK BS. It's a fun car but imo it's held back by the 7speed auto. I've driven one and the experience was great all around except the tranny.
