When the X5 first came out, BMW wanted to prove that it was more than your average SUV underneath the skin. So it wedged a 6.0-liter V12 from one of its LeMans prototypes into an X5. It produced 750-horsepower and made the X5 sound like no other SUV you've ever heard.

It was basically a Mclaren F1 engine in an X5, old news but still fun to remember.
And trust me the 4.4 TT costs much less to build than one of these engines!

honestly,I think that a V8TT would fit the character of a sports sedan more than a V10 or even a V12..
I`d love to see it in the M6 though
