Looking for suggestions on e46 m3 SMG clutch/flywheel

I have just under 70k on the car and the clutch is just starting to slip on take offs and hard shifts. I imagine it's about time for a clutch. I've spoken to the dealer and they want to replace the clutch/flywheel, also spoken to an indy BMW/MB shop I've used in the past and while he's never done an SMG, he's confident and I'm pretty confident in him. He gave me an estimated price forthe OEM replacement clutch/flywheel which was a little less than the dealer, and said maybe the flywheel will be OK, significantly lowering the price. He was also thinking maybe going aftermarket preformance clutch/flywheel making the car a bit more fun to drive, but since I wasn't ready to do it quite yet, I decided to research in to it more.

After reading the M boards, I was very confused, some say the aftermarket flywheel/clutch combos were terrible, they went back to stock, others say they liked them. What I am looking for it something driveable, preferably stock like, maybe able to take a little more abuse (track days and such), and not more than stock replacement parts. Aside from that if stock is my best option for the price, is there any suggested places and what should I expect form a flywheel with 70k or pretty regular around town driving? Will it most likely need replacement?
