X6 owners

I'm thinking of an X6 as a daily driver. Does anyone have any impressions of this car or experiences pro or con. Any advise would be appreciated.

If the size isn't a concern to you, its an amazing vehicle. The driving dynamics and power for a "bigger" car are umatched.

I love the X6 and think it would make an amazing daily if you don't constantly have tons of stuff or more than 2 people in the car. I am going to look into a 35i after winter.

I picked up a new X6 last month for my daily and absolutly love it. It is deffinatly not for everyone but suits my needs perfectly. More cargo room than a sedan (less than the X5) has four seats (roomier and more comfortable for those in the back) and the handling and performance is more coupe like than SUV.

The twin turbo has minimal lag and tons of pull, it is a bit thirsty in the city but still better than a RR or Escalade.

Up close and personal its a sheer beast with a muscular stance, I also went with the X6 over the X5 because of the lower production numbers and the fact that you dont see many of them around. On the down side, when it comes to negotiating a price with the dealer, there is far less wiggle room. This dealer only had two in stock and mentioned most dealers will have very limited inventory since this is considered a somewhat niche vehicle with a much smaller market than say the X5. (from their experience it was most appealing to the yuppies, most consumers preffer the X5 for the added seat in the back and larger cargo space.

Go drive one, if seating or cargo space is not your main criteria than you will not be dissapointed.

I just purchased an x6 5.0 and love it. The prior posts are correct, if you can live with a slightly smaller vehicle than an X5, it's great. The power from the twin turbo v8 is awesome. Handles well, fit and finish is exceptional. No complaints other than the mod bug has gotten me already. Looking at lowering and perhaps some 21" 3 pc wheels. Good luck, great vehicle

OK, so I have a welcome home event at a BMW dealership for a friend who left the company for a couple of years. The dealership just got an X6M. Has anyone driven this monster yet? It has 555 HP and is not that much more in terms of cost than a well equipped X6. Does anyone have any thoughts? I have gone to BMWUSA and configured a car but they really have limited colors inside and out. I was thinking silver out and the red inside. Any info would be appreciated.

I was looking at purchasing one also but found it to be very cramped inside, can't forget to mention I'm 6'2. The other thing is I need three seats across the back as opposed to only two...so I went with an X5 instead.
In terms of on-road dynamics in my opinion X5/X6 are the best on the road.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I dont like it. Doesnt look or sound nearly as good and doesnt drive aswell as the Cayenne GTS. I really think its one of the worst looking car out there. Interior appointments were not that good either.
