2008911tt is infamous around these parts
Not to muddy the waters but if you put off your decision a little while there are some major improvements coming for the M6 next year. At the very least the option of the DCT transmission will be available. I wanted an M6 but couldn't handle the shift lag of the SMG and did not want a full manual for daily driving. Now that I bought the M3 I am thinking perhaps I should have waited a year. Word on the street is the V-10 is going by the wayside in favor of a twin turbo charged V-8 that is likely to produce close to 600 HP.

happy to see someone else in the same situation as me!

my 30th b-day will be in 2013, and so far it is a cayman S or an M3

But like me, there are still a couple of years left, so there's a lot of time to make your mind

test drive both and go with the one that gives you a big smile

and while there, why not add the jaguar XFR supercharged, this car makes me smile everytime I get a ride in it

I say RS4. The AWD in Michigan will be helpful. There are plenty of RS4's out there with warranties.

The 8 mpg you will get from the M5 will get REALLY old REALLY fast.
