Its not very smart to be doing 165 in a non broken in M3.. Just saying.

The engine was built by BMW's F1 racing division...........I think it will hold up!

It will hold up, no doubt. Still against M Division break in recommendations. Should stay below 5000 RPM for first 1200 miles until M service can be done. I am on my third M and have been pretty true to this just in case. There have been a couple of cases in last few years of M not warrantying cars when the car shows revs outside of range. Not saying they should, but they do.
