You'd be better off with a srt8 Cherokee - much more bang for the buck

Why were the prices removed by the moderator and noted as "not in open forum".
Is this some type of new rule where prices cant be discussed??? That would be beyond ridiculous.

tire protection plan doesn't cover wear and i think tread life has to be more than 3/32. they replaces the tire if there is a puncture that can't be repaired (or patch it up otherwise). with that said, i think i would still get the protection. s

The X5 M was one of the coolest SUV's I've ever driven but I just couldn't justify the cost of the thing. It made MUCH more sense to have a normal SUV and a slightly used sports car. For high 90's into the 100's after taxes, I could get a very comfy SUV and a heck of a deal on a sports car with money left over for modding. Be sensible. What SUV needs mega horsepower? I just don't get it.

deals to be had for sure on X5m and X6m used.

You can also get a regular X5 or X6 with V8 twin turbo for thousands less and still get those beefed up with just software and exhaust. We have software and turbo back exhaust for both BMW M SUV's and non M SUV's

The wheel coverage DOES NOT cover wear. Its only road and tire hazards. For more info PM Me and we can talk. The X5M is awesome and the drive is amazing for an SUV. I have driven plenty of them. The launch control feature is amazing as well.

Similarly equipped, performance is almost the same, and you keep $20k. Just my opinion.

However, I am thinking about the Cayenne in 2012. May get another X5M though.

I like the new look of the Cayenne but the BMW has more power for less $$$. Basically what Jason said. Just looks, which one do you like better?

Love the looks of the X5M all the way around. The Cayenne just doesn't do it for me. It will be my DD, silverstone/silvertsone loaded...no active seats pack, but I really don't think it works that well. Have it in both cars now and it just doesn't do it for me. Looking forward to this Monday!
