JDM M5---Purists beware!!!!!!!!!

Because I'm jealous as hell.

Normally I would be against this type of thing, more in favor of adding fi to the original power plant, but it is difficult to argue with those numbers and the quality of work that is being done!
I, for one, am looking forward to updates! Nice build.

I love the 2JZ and the E39 M5. I am just curious to know how the rest of the goodies work in the car? I mean what ECU are you using and does it affect anything else in the car? You know, things like your door locks, windows, sunroof, radio, heated seats, etc.

Thanks much for all the comments. Everything works on this swap except for the factory DSC, sport button, and the oil temperature sensor. Other then that everything works exactly like factory, AC, Navigation, heated seats, radio, sunroof, etc. It has the BMW DME and then is tuned on AEM V2 standalone.
I should get the car back early next week, and will post up driving videos and more pictures. Thanks.

Thanks again for the responses. Here is a new video,

I will post up some pictures of the car this weekend. The attention to detail in the engine compartment is phenomenal!

I'm surprised they don't isolate the intake and air filter more than that or give it a cold air setup. Other than that awesome build. How does the new engine affect the balance of the car? How does the weight compare with the stock motor?

Thanks! Yes, this is still a stock block. Justin (the tuner) figures with this current tune and the strength of the 2jz motor it should be good for another 60k miles. That blows me away, this kind of power on a stock motor with that type of longevity.
Thanks! The 2jz/v160 combo is a lot heavier then the s62/trans combo. Probably 200 lbs heavier. I have the lightweight hood to help reduce some of that mass up front, but am essentially not too worried about the weight difference. I can't speak to the balance of the car as it still isn't 100% finished. We have put maybe 10 miles of street driving on it. The subframe is being reinforced this week and a few other little things and it will be ready to roll. After I get some miles on the car, I will update if there is any noticeable change in the driving dynamics.
