My new '11 M3

I figured I'd better post this down here as well as the 997 section. I traded in my '06 C2S this weekend for a new M3. I got an absolutely staggering deal, paying over $10k off sticker price with the car being 3 months old and having 2000 miles on it!

So far I love it, in fact when I went to testdrive one, I actually didn't want to like it, I thought it was going to feel very much heavier than my 911 and slower until higher up the rev range. However, I was converted, I loved the test drive, it pulls so much harder than my 911 ever did (at least it feels that way), the gearbox is incredible and it just drives superbly. Needless to say I was converted because 12 hours later I was back at the dealer making the trade

I'll be putting another set of HRE's on it soon enough then it's on to an exhaust!

Pics below

It certainly is. We have a PDK C4S back in the UK and I was expecting the DCT to be poor in comparison, boy was I surprised!

As for the sig change, I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that yet

come on, make the change...i i did a similar thing several months ago with similar results...sold my beloved e39 m5 when i found a 2011 e92 m3 space grey/dct with 2k miles for a really great price. granted, new m3's are trading well below sticker now but you got a really good deal on yours (assuming the trade in was fair which i'm sure you made sure it was)...congrats!!

The deal was very good, car had a few miles on it but that just stopped me having to break it in .

BMW offered me $4k more for my 911 than anyone else did and given the tax credit it made it worth $2k more anyway. They also offered me $2k above anyone else for my 135i as well making it a square trade, no money added

As soon as I sell my P40's from the 911, I'll get right on that!

Thanks guys. A week has passed and I can honestly say I don't regret my decision one bit.

I bought the car from Fields BMW of Lakeland who are actually not my local dealer.
