02' M5 vs 98' M3 with S54 engine
Here's a video of my E36M vs my friends E39 M5.
The M5 has a tune and exhaust
The M3 has headers, CSL intake, tune and 3.91 rear end

Nice kill. That is a great swap with the right tune. With software probably low 300rear wheel. My buddy swapped one in an E36 race car and tuned it with Vipec/with his own harness. Makes about 340 rwhp after he dialed in the timing/VANOS with the same mods and straight exhaust/Flowmaster single chamber.

Thanks for the comments. My car made 326 rwhp with an ebay header, dual exhaust to the stock E36 M3 cat-back. It could easily be in the 340whp + range with a better exhaust set up.
In the video it makes 304rwhp, as the timing was turned down due to some issues.
My car is in the 3200lb range, while the M5 is full weight minus 60-80lbs from the exhaust.
