MY 2011 MW Build Begins... E9x M3 Part II + Historical Build Photos

It hasn't even been a full year since the departure of my previous E90 M3 after driving some various vehicles in between the short duration, I missed the daily duties, high-rev V8 and the modern technology amenities so I couldn't resist when I saw this beauty sitting on the lot @ Long Beach BMW. It was a bit more in terms of price & options of what I wanted but I will give it up to Will Shaw @ LB BMW for making some magic happen for me... no b*lls*it

2011 Mineral White/ Black
DCT
ZCP (I know a waste for someone modifying but waiting sucks too...)
Premium, etc...
blah blah blah... you get the picture

Like how I do with any of my other daily driver/ project cars, I try to waste a minimal amount of time getting started and attacking the areas that I do not like out of the box.

Being in the apparel & sneaker business, everything has to sit proper and clean and the condition and style of way my car is represented is an extension of myself. I am fortunate enough to have a shop that can withstand my pickiness, time frames and constant email bombing from me

This time around, I hooked up with EAS Family to get this build started. The objective on this E92 isn't to build the most powerful or the gaudiest of CF & FRP body parts all around. I had simple objectives and I knew my modding would be a culmination of compromises, comfort and reliability. An oxymoron for anyone that knows what is involved with car tuning these days...

1) daily driving practicality 2) clean aesthetics, as Tom @ EAS says to me all the time, "less is more" and 3) and still FUN @ 3-4x a year track duties

BUT....

That all changed when SEMA 2011 came around and phase 2 then 3 followed... Like all my other previous projects, my creativity and boredom took over and here you go!

*** I will be using this as my official build thread for this particular vehicle! ***

1 Week Old - AiB LED, KW Variant 3, Macht Schnell EDC Modules, Macht Schnell 20/15 spacers, Akrapovic "Black Edition" Evolution Exhaust System, Akrapovic Delete-R

UPDATE 8.18.11

Final Minor Updates before my car sits @ the KW Suspension Booth for Motion Show Long Beach.

Been looking for Carbon Fiber accents but I am insistent they have to be 1x1 weave. So BMW Performance decided to fail by making their parts 2x2 when their own Coupe Roof is 1x1... smh

But I was fortunate to cop the EAS 1x1 Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers & Hood Vents to create a contrast accent piece to my build theme. They are beautiful pieces and the fact they have OEM base makes fitment AWESOME... "snap, snap, flush" - install instructions right there

"People" have been pondering why did I go with blue seats (besides the fact they are limited, Japan Model only to fit my tiny frame and 2K a piece, who cares right???)

blue accents c/o Rays & Muteki Limited Edition Burning Blue

Well... I think the images will show you why below

I think I am done for now, just wanted to celebrate 1 month of ownership

matchy matchy... sneaker game foundation carries over to the whips!

*** UPDATED POST SEMA: 11.17.2011 ***

photos c/o Anthony @ EAS

wheel color might not be for everyone but I love pushing the envelope of stereotypical BMW modding. This is a teaser to the 2nd look scheme to end 2011

not shown

My standard Brembo GT Red Calipers arrived yesterday... I would of not got them in time for SEMA and as a result, I got spoiled with the gorgeous GTR calipers which not have to be returned back to Vorsteiner and they will TRULY be missed....

parted out the ride thinking I would be switching into another car right away... midway through the decision, had a change of heart and decided to wait for that perfect optioned car to run past me...

so until then, I couldn't handle being a 100% stock so decided to just update the shoes for 2012...

no need for introduction on the wheels, been there, done that, the rolex of wheels aka BBS LM's + Arqray Exhaust

3.7.12

still rebuilding from my previous COMPLETE PART OUT #smh

almost back to where I was but this time with a new TWIST !

NEW MODIFICATIONS:
Vorsteiner VS110 Textured Gunmetal 19x10 & 19x11
Yokohama AD08 265/30/19 and 295/30/19
KW Variant 3 Coilovers w/ EDC Modules

I let my paint cure for a week so it was not ready for the final details and wet sanding. During the curing process, I went to Best Tint and FINALLY got my Solar Gard Ceramic Tint. 75 Windshield and 40 all around. Perfect timing as I heard it will be sunny and in the 80's for the LTBMW meet this weekend!

here are a couple of fresh out of wet sand Body Shop pictures I snapped with my POS iPhone 4S camera.

Professional Shots to be taken this Saturday so see you all @ our Attic Booth for the LTBMW Meet!
