335xi as a daily driver
335xi as a daily driver
Always had SUV's in the past as a daily and winter. Thinking of getting a 335xi for some better gas mileage. Just curious how good are they in the snow?
I have a RWD 335 for a daily and I'm quite happy with it. There's mod potential there regardless of what year you pick up but the 07-10 cars are the N54 twin turbo motor, while the 2011+ are all the single turbo N55. In general, the N55 is more reliable but makes substantially less power once modded. The n55 can't break 400 whp with all bolt-ons currently available while an N54 car with the same mods have made up to 480 whp.
A buddy of mine has an Xi and it is pretty unflappable in the wet and snow. Drive one and see what you think. They are a couple hundred pounds heavier than the RWD cars which blunts the performance and handling a bit.
