I have my car randomly defaulting into limp mode when i gear into drive or reverse.
it has happened 30 times in last 2 years,.
several Dealer trips-unable to figure it out
Anyone else with similar issues or can some auto techie shed some light.

 

its a 2012 model comp spec.
A friend says he replaced a brake line vacuum control unit as a 2008 manual m3 kept doing similar things

 

it defaults to neutral on pushing the gas pedal

 

not limp mode

 

Have you had any CELs/error codes? Do you have any mods on your car?

 

ESS 625 stage 2 SC akropovic exhaust

 

It did this even prior to the mods
