My 2006 BMW M3 (lots of pictures)

I took delivery of this M3 in germany on Oct 2005. It has 4000+ miles now and has seen a top speed of 172 mph (prob more like 155 mph due to notorious speedo error) on the A6 autobahn. Pictures below.

congratulations, and very nice M3.
My wife and I are taking Euro delivery of her new 3 convertible in May. I've done Euro delivery before, but not with BMW. Were you happy with their procedure? Anything you would do differently?
We're planning on Vienna, Prague and Berlin.

Actually I live in Germany and work for the US Air Force in Ramstein so I didn't take delivery per say like you would since you live in the states. Just remember that technically you can't drive faster than 105 mph and/or 5500 rpm in the first 1200 miles. That may hamper your fun a little bit.

I dont really want to mod the car because I have read that most mods don't really achieve any noticeable gains with this engine. Just the big mods like forced induction or nitrous. I believe the engineers squeezed as much hp out of this engine as they could. Yes there are a few ponies to gain with exhaust, ecu, cai, etc but not worth the $$$.

Thanks for all the comments by the way. I am really enjoying the M3 alot more than my previous nissan 350z. That silly car forced me to shift into 6th gear at 145 mph because it ran out of gear in 5th. Also the 3fitty would get owned by Opels and volvo station wagons on the autobahn.

Your car is very nice and super clean, I love my 2005 good luck...do I see that the car has no sunroof? I do not have one saves about 40lbs of weight...

Beautiful car... That 172mph sounds legitimate because I hit 171mph in my friends M3.
