So tonight I was driving and noticed the drivers side xenon headlight was out. I checked the fuse and it's fine...I was wondering if there was a fix for this or do I need to bring it to the dealer to fix?

I installed angeleyes a long time ago. I'm wondering if I bring it to a dealer will they hassle me for the Angel Eyes?

I had that happen to my old silver '01 E46 M3 after about 3 years and 60K miles of use. The intial symptoms were that the driver's side light would flicker then turn off. Eventually it failed completely and I was driving around in a cyclopse.

Went to the dealer and had the ballast replaced which costed me about $500 - $700 (i can't remember exactly and maybe it was the igniter and not the ballast). Of course this happened after the warranty expired so that was out-of-pocket. It's odd that it happened to your '05, but not totally unheard of.

I'd definitely pull the angel eyes out beforehand, that way they don't have an excuse to deny your warranty. Better to be safe than sorry!

 

So it's out on one side all the time? That would mean either

connection
bulb
ballast
faulty wiring

I'd let the dealer look into this as it'll most likely cost a bit in parts. Get the lights back to stock though.
