You're correct in that there is no mechanical LSD. That's a big initial gripe, but let's see how the electronics accommodate for it in the real world.

i guess they intentionally didnt put LSD just like they didnt put on Cayman S. 335i got lots of potential to beat M3. but lacking LSD give huge advantage to M3.

Perhaps they figure the average driver won't need it for street duty. Plus, there's a whole lot of weight on those wheels, as the 335 weighs in at almost 3600lbs. oink oink.

I read yesterday that an ECU flash on a 335i in Phoenix has already yielded 60 more hp and 60 more tq. Not bad.

I dont know if you saw but the Cayman S owners are putting together a group buy for LSD. not to mention some have already done the X-51 motor conversion and that car rips even more now. i suppose the 335i owners will do the same. also i saw the other day on leftlane news that they are coming out with a 335i sedan.

Yes, the 2007 sedans will have the same engines as the coupes, and have the designations 328i and 335i...like the coupes.

If I go above and beyond on the track, that's the only time I would consider
LSD on the Cayman S, right now, the way this car handles ,i dont have the need funny how sometimes people complain that the caymanS have no lsd, but they never push their cars

wow
I completely agree with you alex. im not saying I personally would od this, but i saw the thread. I think in stock form, the CAYMAN S is fantastic! Its fast, light, nimble, perfectly balanced, the exhaust note sounds great, styling is a A++ in my book and i have nothing bad to say about it.

throttle response as expected disappointing. no lsd like others have mentioned. soft stock suspension, but nothing a set of aftermarket coilovers can't take care of.

not an M car. a good car for the bmw masses.
